No Percy Jackson and the Titans Curse Movie

I am 100% positive I am not the only person at least slightly pleased at this news. The first two movies in the Percy Jackson film franchise made a mockery of a book that was loved by millions. They were in high school. Annabeth was NOT blonde, and Grover was African American (and to be honest I'm not actually that upset by this news, considering Riordan only started truly introducing cultural diversity in the Heroes of Olympus series). Still, when I went to check up on this film franchise, I was a bit surprised to find out that Logan Lerman had declared the Titan's Curse film "Officially Dead", or at least his role in it. I'd really appreciate some feed back on this if you don't mind, so comment away!

Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers five has finally become 100% official! (It's obviously not official until it has a name, duh) Transformers: The Last Knight. It sounds cool, and it isn't even the Bumblebee Spin Off Movie! Oh, wait, did I forget to mention that in my last post about Transformers and the franchise plans? Well, here it is; Transformers 6 is supposed to be acting as a Bumblebee spin-off. Don't ask me why, I have no idea.

Smurfs: The Lost Village

Smurfs: The Lost Village movie posterI'm not sure how many of you remember watching these little blue guys save Smurfette from from Gargamel's evil clutches or listening to Papa Smurf tell them stories and give advice, or watching Brainy smurf get kicked out of the village in humorous ways, but I do. The new movie is set to release April 7th, 2017. The movie finds Smurfette and her brothers trekking through the uncharted Enchanted Forest  to try and discover the fables Smurfs village before their nemesis, the evil wizard Gargamel, does. Along the way, some of the mysteries of the little blue creatures come to light.

Captain America: Civil War

I am pleased to say that the movie is out in theaters just as I promised, if a little late. I suppose Marvel just had to make sure it was perfect, since millions are due to swarm the theaters to watch it. Anybody else wondering how much Marvel makes opening night alone?

Transformers 5

For all those Transformers fans out there, whether you be from the G1 series, Animated, or a recent addition due to the bayverse, it's good to know our fandom continues to grow.

The next Transformers movie is due to release in June of 2017, with Michael Bay as the director and Peter Cullen coming back as Optimus Prime. I know fans are still upset about the loss f some very deeply loved characters, but do not fret. This new movie has a crew of talented writers, who have already started to plan out the plot of the next 10 years of Transformers movies.

The next 2 movies are guaranteed, having been signed off for earlier this year, and Transformers 6 is due to release in 2018. The plan is for 7 and 8 to release in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
